Soft-Skills Program
We believe that all individuals deserve an opportunity to learn and develop essential workplace excellence and job skills, so they can obtain meaningful employment. Since 2007, 716 Ministries has provided job training for members of our community. Today, this takes place in the form of our 4-5 week Work Readiness program.
The program pairs soft-skills training with one-on-one mentoring and community service. Our curriculum has proven to be extremely successful in assisting individuals to not only secure stable employment, but also grow in their confidence and feelings of self-worth. We currently partner with Trocaire College, Catholic Charities, Harvest House and Jericho Road’s Vive Shelter.
Participants Experience:
-
Soft-Skills Teaching | Participants learn resume building, conflict resolution, time management, goal setting, budgeting, successful interviewing tactics, and more.
-
One-On-One Coaching | Each participant is paired with an experienced mentor who provides guidance and encouragement throughout the program and beyond.
-
Online Instruction | With the onset of COVID-19, we quickly adjusted to online learning using Zoom. This has made it so our programs have still continued, and even grown, during the pandemic.
